• Whats in it?
GLYCERIN - is well-loved as a lotion and soap ingredient because it's a humectant. A humectant is a substance that pulls water from the second layer of the skin and brings it to the top layer of the skin. If the humidity is high, humectants also draw moisture from the air. As a result, glycerine hydrates skin, helps you shed dead skin cells and gives your skin a smooth, youthful glow.
AQUA - water is primarily used as a solvent in cosmetics and personal care products in which it dissolves many of the ingredients that impart skin benefits, such as conditioning agents and cleansing agents. Water also forms emulsions in which the oil and water components of the product are combined.
SORBITOL - natural polyhydric alcohol derived from a sugar solution (dextrose) from wheat (gluten-free). It has effective moisturizing properties and skin softening and conditioning effects.
SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE - is the sodium salt of the coconut fatty acid ester of isethionic acid, used as a cleansing agent in skin care products. It exhibits high foaming ability, producing a stable, rich and velvety lather that does not dehydrate the skin.
DISODIUM LAURYL SULFOSUCCINATE - is a cleaning agent that is gentle to skin. It has good cleaning ability, resistance to hard water, medium foaming ability, easiness of rinsing, good smoothness and biodegradation.
SODIUM CHLORIDE - mineral salts are hugely beneficial to the skin, thanks to the high magnesium content, and calcium (as well as zinc and potassium). This may help plump up skin because it attracts and binds water, and improves hydration by strengthening the barrier function of the skin.
PHENOXYETHANOL - is glycol ether used as a preservative in skin care products and is considered an organic chemical found in natural form in chicory and green tea. This organic compound is also known for its antimicrobial properties against yeast, bacterial organisms and molds in skin care products.
TETRASODIUM EDTA - is valued in skin care applications because of its ability to weaken the natural skin barrier and allow deeper penetration by other ingredients.
CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE - derived from coconut oil and glycerin. A great antioxidant emollient as it provides an occlusive film around the epidermis to prevent loss of moisture/water from the skin, keeping it hydrated and supple. Being a lightweight and non-greasy barrier of lubrication, it is easily diffused on to and absorbed by the skin.
SKIN SAFE FRAGRANCE - similar to their Essential Oil counterparts, Fragrance Oils contribute pleasant scents to products and often conjure positive memories or trigger positive associations with their scents. Fragrance Oils capture unique as well as everyday scents that cannot be found in nature.
